Dillard’s Houston Galleria Commercial Painting Project

How did we get the job done when time is of the essence?

The Project:
Dillard’s, which is located in the largest shopping mall in Houston, the Houston Galleria, was in bad shape when they contacted CertaPro Painters of Central Houston. Dillard’s requested that CertaPro Painters of Central Houston disrupt the daily business as little as possible.

The Work:
In June of 2019, CertaPro Painters of Central Houston was hired to repair the interior walls, seal stains, paint the baby section of the store, in addition to two sections of changing rooms. Inside of the changing rooms, we repaired drywall holes, painted all louvered doors, and emergency exit doors. The final part of the project included prepping railings in the parking lot. These railings were in especially bad shape, meaning we had to power wash, scrape and sand, prime and apply multiple coats of specialty paint. To achieve this, we worked after the store closed, and prior to opening in the morning to avoid contact with the daily customer traffic. Every day all surfaces needed to be protected, prepped and cleaned to avoid paint spills and avoid fumes for the working hours.

Final Result:

By providing daily visits to the job site from our Production Manager and the owner of CertaPro Central Houston, we were able to give daily updates on the progress on the project.
